SALEM - Caresse G. Fidoe, 81, of 780 Cunningham Road, passed away at 7:05 a.m. Sunday, Feb. 12, 2012, at her home.
She was born Sept. 26, 1930 in Salem, the daughter of the late Ernest and Elva (Krepps) Cozza.
She had also resided in Florida and Michigan for several years.
Caresse was a member of the First Christian Church, and provided home communion for church shut-ins.
She was a 1949 graduate of Salem High School and served on the P.T.A. She was a team leader for the Banquet of Salem, a member of Restore for Humanity, and had served as a Girl Scout leader. She also volunteered for the Food Pantry.
Survivors include her husband, Thomas W. Fidoe, whom she married Feb. 9, 1949; a son, Gregory Fidoe of Columbiana; two daughters, Wendy Taylor of Clarion, Pa. and Kathie Sabatino of Salem; 10 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Memorial Services will be held Thursday, Feb. 16, 2012 at the Salem First Christian Church at 11 a.m. with the Rev. Leonard Moore officiating.
Calling hours will be Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. at Stark Memorial Funeral Home. Burial will be at Hope Cemetery.
