SALEM - Scott Edward Beaver, 33, of Salem, formerly of Deerfield, died Wednesday, March 21, 2012 of injuries sustained in an auto accident.
He was born Jan. 25, 1979 in Salem, the son of Edward L. Beaver Jr. and Jean Rae (Copenhaver) Capel.
Scott had been employed at Hart Mansion and had previously been employed at Ben's Restaurant. He was a 1998 graduate of Salem High School and attended Mount Union College. He was a member of the Salem First United Methodist Church and loved painting modern artwork. He also enjoyed the outdoors and doing landscaping.
Survivors include his mother and stepfather, Jeanne and Jerry Capel of Salem; father and stepmother, Edward and Margie Beaver of Deerfield; grandmother, Evelyn Jean Beaver of East Liverpool; sister, Courtney (Brad) Beaver-Nolsheim of Boardman; stepsisters, Kris (Dean) Dreves of Cary, Ill., and Charity Townsend of Salem; stepbrothers, Dean Capel of New York City, Tim (Heather) Baird of Canfield and Terry (Jennifer) Baird of Canfield; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Edward Beaver; and Jean and Ray Copenhaver.
Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, March 25, 2012 at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Doug George officiating. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 2 to 5 p.m. at the funeral home and Sunday one hour prior to the funeral service. Burial will be at Grandview Cemetery.
