Big Reds beat Potters

EAST LIVERPOOL - The Bellaire softball team scored 10 runs in the first three innings en route to a 13-3 victory in five innings Tuesday over east Liverpool at Gia Nicely Field.

Mary Davis took the loss for the Potters (2-6). She struck out three, walked one and she allowed 13 runs on nine hits.

Offensively for East Liverpool, Elise Smith tallied a triple, a RBI and a run, Alyssa Culp contributed a triple and a run and Sarah Morrell recorded a triple and an RBI. Davis also delivered an RBI.

"We had a bad inning in the first inning," second-year East Liverpool head coach Erik Adkins said. "We made a couple errors, and we gave them five runs. We played pretty clean after that."

East Liverpool ended up committing eight errors in the loss.

Multiple questionable calls went against the Potters.

"The girls got kind of upset," Adkins said. "It made them mad."

East Liverpool plays today at 5 p.m. at Oak Glen.

WELLSVILLE - The Sebring volleyball teams cored at least six runs in three of the five innings played Tuesday en route to a 23-3 victory over Wellsville at Hammond Park.

Antonia Lombardozzi took the loss for the Tigers (2-5). Lombardozzi struck out two, walked 11 and she allowed 23 runs on eight hits.

Offensively, Shayla Hall tallied a double and two RBI, Lombardozzi delivered two singles and Kallee' Powell and Lillian Olivencia each added a single.

Beaver Local 13, Struthers 11

STRUTHERS - The Beaver Local softball team scored 11 runs in the final three innings of play to rally to earn a 13-11 win Tuesday at Struthers.

Maranda Kiddey was the winning pitcher for the Beavers (4-4). She struck out six, walked four and she gave up 10 runs on hits in her six innings of work in the circle. Courtney Messenger pitched the seventh inning. She struck out two, walked none and she allowed one run on two hits.

Offensively for Beaver Local, Kiddey delivered two singles, a double and four RBI, Kim Rotellini tallied a single, a double and four RBI and Laine Frampton finished with three singles and two RBI. Also, Destiny Vischak contributed a single, a triple and two runs, and Deanna Dutch and Kayla Dorn each recorded two singles and two runs.

Beaver Local plays Thursday at Howland.
