PARKERSBUURG -The Oak Glen girls' tennis team dropped a pair of matches Monday at Parkersburg.
First, Parkersburg Catholic defeated Oak?Glen, 4-3, then Ravenswood picked up a 5-2 win over the girls from Hancock County.
The Golden Bears won two singles and one doubles match against the Crusaders.
For the Golden Bears, Solita Krauss defeated Jordan?Wiseman, 8-2, at No. 2 singles, and Haley Spurlock defeated Jillie Wiseman, 8-2, at?No. 3 singles.
In doubles, the team of Krauss and Sourlock defeated the team of Jillie Wiseman and Erica Tracewell, 8-4, at?No. 2.
For Parkersburg Catholic, Ariel Shulman defeated Anna Crawford, 8-0, at?No. 1 singles, and Tracewell defeated Abbi Sayre, 8-5, at No. 4.
In doubles, Shulman team up with Jordan Wiseman to defeat Crawford and Sayre, 8-5, at No. 1, and at No. 3, the Crusaders' team of Kate Clowes and Audrey Eisenmann defeated Lauren Pizzurro and Maddy Hill, 8-1.
In the second match, the Red Devils on two singles and all three doubles matches en route to their victory over the Golden Bears.
For Oak Glen, Spurlock defeated Hannah Gurtis, 8-2, at No. 3 singles, and Sayre defeated Bess McNabb, 8-2, at?No. 4.
For Ravenswood, Alex McNabb defeated Crawford, 8-2, at No. 1, and Taylor Youell defeated Krauss, 8-0, at No. 2.
In doubles, McNabb teamed up with Gurtis to defeat Crawford and Sayre, 8-6, at No. 1. At No. 2, Yoell and McNabb defeated Krauss and Spurlock, 8-0. Finally at No. 3, Jordan Dank teamed up with Kerigan Crow to defeat Pizzuro and Hill, 8-2.
