EAST LIVERPOOL - A new contract for nurses at East Liverpool City Hospital will be voted on Tuesday night, and hospital CEO Ken Cochran is hopeful that it will be ratified.
Nurses and administrators have been negotiating for a replacement to a contract that expires May 31, and Cochran said Monday a tentative agreement was reached Friday.
"Everything looks really, really good. We're hoping to put out a joint press release Wednesday as long as everything goes well (during Tuesday's vote), Cochran said.
No details are being released at this point.
Rumors were circulating Friday that nurses had issued a strike notice, which was found to be untrue that night.
