Salem News

GOSHEN TOWNSHIP- A worker at a state Route 45 business had to be lifeflighted after apparently striking his head during a fall earlier this week.

According to Damascus Fire Chief John Bricker, EMS members responded to BOC Water Hydraulics at the corner of state Route 45 and state Route 165 at approximately 10 a.m. Monday. He said the man had sustained severe head trauma in what appeared to be a fall from a ladder or loft and was flown to the main campus of St. Elizabeth's Health Center in Youngstown.

Bricker said the victim, who has not been identified, was in critical condition at the time, but that he does not know the victim's current status.

A representative at the business said there was no comment on the incident and would not clarify whether the victim was an employee of the business or of the construction team finishing a new building on the property.
