SALEM - James F. May Jr., 68, of Salem, Ohio, died at 4:30 a.m. Thursday, June 7, 2012 at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio.

He was born May 6, 1944 in Salem, Ohio, the son of Stella (Anderson) May Hillyer and the late James May Sr.

Before his retirement, he had worked at Mullins, American Standard as an enameller and supervisor and had formerly worked for Little Tykes. His hobbies included golf, playing cards and shooting pool.

His wife, Elizabeth (Holenchick) May, whom he married March 3, 1969, survives him along with his mother, Stella Hillyer of Hanoverton; a son, Robert Casto of Cresto, Iowa; two daughters, Shonda Causey of Kensington and

Maronda May of Minerva; stepsons James Keller of Jamestown, Missouri, Doug Boyle of Cleveland and Jan Queen of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; a sister, Sherri Pitts of Hanoverton; 19 grandchildren; five great-grandchildren and a great great grandson.

Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Fred May officiating. Calling hours will be held from 5 to 8 p.m. on Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at the Highland Memorial Park.
