PETERSBURG - Jeffrey R. Himes, 58, Petersburg, died at 4:27 a.m. Thursday, June 21, 2012 at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Boardman.
Mr. Himes, the son of Robert and Millicent (Mraz) Himes, was born on Oct. 30, 1953 in Youngstown.
He was a 1971 graduate of Columbiana High School. He was employed as a cryogenic technician for 35 years at Praxair the Great Lakes Service Center in Struthers.
He is survived by his wife Rebecca A Mentzer whom he married July 6, 1972. He also leaves daughter Amy (Josh) Milliken of St. Clairsville; son Jason Himes of Akron; sister Mary Ellen (Phil) Stiner of Columbiana; brother Tom (Debbie) Himes of Columbiana; and stepmother Winnifred Himes of Poland.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Seederly-Mong & Beck Funeral Home in North Lima with the Rev. Alan Hutchison officiating. Friends may call from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to The Petersburg Presbyterian Church, or to Angels for Animals, Canfield.
