Cecil Robert "Bob" Phillips, 82, of Cambridge, formerly of Euclid and Quaker City died June 26 at the Cambridge Health Care Center from complications due to a fall at his home on June 16.
Mr. Phillips was born on Feb. 11, 1930 in Quaker City to Cecil E. and Lucille (Meighen) Phillips.
He worked at Euclid Motors and in the Engineering Test Lab Terex Corporation. He graduated from Quaker City High School in 1948. He was a U.S. Navy veteran and a retiree of Terex Corporation.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brother Jerry (Judy) Phillips; and his first wife, Margaret "Peg" Shepherd Phillips.
He is survived by wife, Joan (Hedleston) Brightman Phillips, whom he married on June 30, 1993; sons Mark Robert (Karol) Phillips and Brian Douglas (Linda) Phillips of Chardon; daughter, Liana Lyn (Brent) Yoder of Salem; step-son Jerry (Kathie) Brightman of Cuyahoga Falls; brother William (Thala) Phillips of Barnesville; sister Marlene (Nick) Dobrich of Bethesda; six grandchildren; two step-granddaughters, four great-grandchildren.
Calling hours will be from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Bundy-Law Funeral Home, Cambridge, Ohio. The service will be held on Saturday at 11 a.m. at Bundy-Law with the Rev. Jeff Eschbaugh officiating. Burial will follow in Friends Cemetery in Quaker City. Memorial contributions may be made in to the Quaker City United Methodist Church or to Hospice of Guernsey / P.O.
