SALEM - City school board members met in special session Friday morning to finish up the fiscal year, approving final appropriations for the year ending today and temporary appropriations for the fiscal year beginning Sunday.
Under informational items, it was announced that Brooke Linsley will move from the Title I Reading position to first grade teacher at Buckeye Elementary, with Kaitlin Petrilli moving from Title I Reading at Buckeye/St. Paul School to Title I Reading teacher at Buckeye Elementary.
The board hired a full slate of coaches to help out new head varsity football coach Ron Johnson, approving athletic supplementals for the following: varsity assistant football coaches Todd Huda, Sean Kirkland, Charles Ellington and Steve Bosel; freshman head football coach Jason Lude; freshman assistant football coach Tyler Amedola; junior high head football coaches Barry Long and Michael Douglas; and junior high assistant football coach, Logan Wartman.
Non-athletic supplementals approved were: Yvonne Parks, senior yearbook; Mike Kopachy, senior high paper; George Spack, senior class advisor and student council; Amie Cochran, Key Club; Elaine Habeger, AFS; and Julianne Piatt, assistant band director.
