Damascus open house
DAMASCUS - The Damascus Area Historical Society will hold an open house from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday. All five museum buildings will open to walk through and view, including the Quaker Meeting House and School, the Pearce House Museum, the Delzell Barn and the Historic Schoolhouse Museum.

Bbus trip to Cambridge
SALEM - Realife Church is announcing a bus trip to Cambridge on July 27 that includes The Wilds Safari Tour, a hot buffet dinner, the "Living Word Outdoor Drama" with behind the scenes and front stage" tour. Super Bingo Sunday
COLUMBIANA - Super Bingo Sunday games begin at 2 p.m. Aug. 5 at St. Jude Parish, 180 Seventh St. Doors open at 12:30 p.m. A $25 donation entitles you to a free dauber, coffee and pop, and cards for regular games (specials are sold separately). A total of $3,400 in cash prizes will be awarded to winners, including a $1,000 guaranteed coverall. Lunch items and baked goods are available for purchase.

LISBON - A Budget Commission meeting for reorganization begins at 10 a.m. Aug. 6 in the auditor's conference room located on the main floor of the courthouse.
AAA Driving School in Salem
SALEM - AAA Driving School will hold class at Salem High School from 8 a.m. to noon Aug. 10-17. Registration forms are available in the high school office or by calling 330-277-0052. Students from surrounding schools are welcome.
Orrville Railroad Day planned
ORRVILLE - The Orrville Railroad Heritage Society will present its annual Orrville Railroad Day celebration on Aug. 11 in Orrville in conjunction with the Orrville Music and Rib fest sponsored by Main Street Orrville.
Tours are available at the Orrville Union Depot Museum located at 145 Depot St., off West Market Street, featuring railroad displays and the ORHS gift shop. The Norfolk Southern-Exhibit car will also be open.
The Depot Museum will be open for tours from 5 to 8 p.m. Aug. 10 and 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. Aug. 11. Train tickets for the Fall Foliage Circle Trip and Riding With Santa can be purchased in the depot office.
The ORHS will hold train and track car rides on the railroad line at 245 McGill St. from noon to 4 p.m. Aug. 11 only.
Norfolk Southern Corporation will have an Operation Lifesaver booth at trackside. Hot dogs, soft drinks and water will be available at trackside.
Train tickets are available at trackside on Aug. 11. Cost is $2 for adults and $1 for children. For more information call 330-683-2426.

Fitness program for kids
SALEM - The Salem Community Center is introducing "Future Fitness Club," a new fall program devoted to children. The Future Fitness Club is a KholsCares sponsorship program that is designed and promoted through Akron's Children's Hospital. The club is an eight-week program, Sept. 18 through Nov. 8, that meets every Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday from 5 to 6 p.m.
