LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court Thursday, a July 26 preliminary hearing was set for Edwin Miranda Jr., Beechwood Road, Salem, charged with domestic violence for allegedly assaulting his wife during an argument on Tuesday. Miranda has a previous domestic violence conviction. Bond was set at $100,000 cash or surety.
Charles Edward Crank Jr., 53, East State Street, Salem, was fined $1,125, had his license suspended for a year and was sentenced to 19 days in jail for OVI second offense and driving under OVI suspension.
Tamica Kyser, 29, Warren, was fined $975, had her license suspended for 180 days, required 25 hours community service and sentenced to 20 days in jail for OVI first offense, driving under suspension and speeding.
William R. Brown II, 53, Franklin Street, Salem, was fined $705, had his license suspended for 180 days and sentenced to 20 days in jail for OVI first offense and open container.
David J. Kittle, 49, Warren, was fined $700, had his license suspended for 180 days, was sentenced to 20 days in jail and required 50 hours community service for OVI first offense and speeding.
Edward A. Echevarria, 47, Oviedo, Fla., was fined $650, ordered to attend a three-day program, had his license suspended for 180 days and required 50 hours community service for OVI first offense, marked lanes and driving under FRA suspension.
William Reynolds, 45, state Route 172, Kensington, was fined $400, had his license suspended for 180 days and required 50 hours community service for drug paraphernalia and possession of marijuana.
Shane M. Fonner, 21, Mill Circle, Alliance, was fined $280 and required 40 hours community service for driving under suspension and a seat belt violation.
Shawn A. Osborn, 31, Clark Avenue, Wellsville, was fined $250, sentenced to 11 days in jail and required 40 hours community service for violating a temporary protection order by calling the woman who he was ordered to have no contact with in December and threatening to murder her in January.
Scott P. Kessell Sr., 42, Heritage Lane, Salem, was fined $200 for driving under FRA suspension.
Brock D. Mullins, 23, Hamilton Road, East Palestine, was fined $100 for persistent disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence for throwing his father to the ground, before hitting him and kicking him several times.
Valerie L. Jones, 37, West Main Street, East Palestine, was fined $100 for persistent disorderly conduct amended from domestic violence. Two other counts of domestic violence were dismissed. According to court documents, on June 10 Jones punched her sister, threw a heavy glass striking a 12-year-old relative in the face and struck a step sister, leaving a cut on her cheek.
Seaton I. Ruffner, 29, Union Ridge Road, Negley, was fined $100 and required 30 hours community service for criminal damaging for intentionally breaking the sprinkler head in the booking cell at the Columbiana County Jail, causing Lisbon Fire Department to respond and flooding the area. He was further ordered to make restitution of $1,020 to Lisbon Fire Department and $164 to the county jail.
Robert A. Puniak, 43, Gibsonia, Pa., was fined $100 for unsafe vehicle, amended from speeding.
Frank W. Tondo II, 40, Simon Road, Boardman, was fined $100 for speeding.
Andrea G. Gooding, 28, South Main Street, Beloit, was fined $50 and required 10 hours community service for driving under FRA suspension.
Kevin G. McCartney, 50, Mashpee, Mass., was fined $50 for speeding.
Earnest Litus, 38, Lopatcong, N.J., was fined $50 for commercial speed.
Charles E. Rogers, 42, Cleveland, was fined $150 for disorderly conduct with $120 suspended, providing he have no further violations in the next year. According to court documents, Rogers continued to play loud music after midnight despite being given reasonable warnings.
A July 26 pretrial was set for John Paul, 50, Union Street, Columbiana, charged with possession of drugs (marijuana).
A July 26 pretrial was set for Christopher R. Border, 24, Malta, cited with driving under suspension.
An Aug. 7 pretrial was set for James Poole, Main Street, Kensington, cited with failure to register a dog.
An Aug. 7 pretrial was set for James P. Poole, 29, last known address Rose Avenue, Salem, charged with two counts receiving stolen property. Poole is accused of selling three Blu Ray movies and eight DVDs from the Salem Public Library to Game On on June 19 and June 21.
An Aug. 23 pretrial was set for Teri L. Webber, 56, West Lincoln Way, Lisbon, cited with passing bad checks after allegedly writing a $76 check to Pilmer's Auto, which was returned for insufficient funds.
An Aug. 30 pretrial was set for Jacob P. Sevek, 31, Fairfield School Road, Columbiana, cited with assured clear distance.
