S. JoAnne Bartholow

COLUMBIANA - S. JoAnne Bartholow, 76, of Wind Rose Court, died at 3:25 p.m. Monday at Cleveland University Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Born Jan. 26, 1936, in Salineville, she was the daughter of the late Leo Mapel and Ethel (Allison) Mapel Van Horn.

Mrs. Bartholow was a homemaker and active with the American Cancer Society's Relay for Life.

Survivors include four daughters, Cody (Dwayne) Hill of Salem, Kelly (Dan) Komo of Dunellon, Fla., Christy (Mark) Pastircak of Kensington and Cindy McHugh and her fiance, Darryl Davis of Rogers; a son, Kit (Linda) Bartholow of Mesa, Ariz.; three sisters, Patsy "Cookie" (Benny) Gonzalez of New Waterford, Ikey Van Horn of Unity and Ellen (Randal) Taylor of Columbiana; three brothers, Herbert (Dawn) Van Horn of Lancaster, Tim (Ruth) VanHorn of Columbiana and Tom (Betty) Van Horn of Salem; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.

Following her wishes, no calling hours or funeral services will be observed.

The family suggests that memorial contributions may be made to your local humane society or the American Heart Association.

Arrangements were handled by the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home.
