Participants pose for a camera for a before shot at the ninth annual Outdoor Youth Challenge sponsored by the First Christian Church of Salem. The participants were split into 16 teams and had many challenges to earn points at such as the slip-and-slide challenge where they could earn points by grabbing a foam person hanging above them on the way down the slide, the swimming challenge where members of different teams had to work together to find pieces of pipe that spelled out the word inspire when all the pieces were found, and an obstacle course in the woods were also part of it.
