EAST PALESTINE - James W. Guy Sr., 77, of West Clark Street, died at 2:53 p.m. Friday at the Adkins Nursing Home, East Liverpool, where he had been a patient.
Mr. Guy was born Aug. 30, 1934 in Negley, a son of the late William Lewis and Gladys Coaley Guy, and was a lifetime resident of the area.
He had been employed at the former Darlington Brick Co. for 55 years, retiring as a high lift operator.
Survivors include his wife, the former Mildred Rader; two sons, James W. Guy Jr. of Calcutta and Ricky Allen Guy of Salem; a daughter, Barbara Kovalesky of Midland, Pa.; a sister, Mary Hartzog of Tennessee; 10 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.
A daughter, Cindy Lorey, preceded him in death.
Services will not be observed. Burial will be in Crest Haven Memorial Gardens, New Waterford. Arrangements were with the Oliver-Linsley Funeral Home, www.oliver-linsley.com.
