HANOVERTON -The Hanoverton Salvation Army will hold a rummage sale from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday, Friday and Saturday at the Ruritan Hall on Second Street in Hanoverton.

free cabaret night Friday
LISBON - As a thank you to supporters and season ticket holders, Stage Left Players is hosting a free cabaret night.
The event begins at 7 p.m. Friday at 234 Lincolnway and offers free appetizers and beverages, live entertainment by the Stage Left Players, exclusive behind-the-scenes peaks at Stage Left's newest renovations and special offers on tickets.

Iden Memorial Trap Shoot and
Breakfast is scheduled Saturday
SALEM - The ninth annual Lowell Iden Memorial Trap Shoot and Breakfast is slated Saturday at the Salem Hunting Club, 549 Indiana Ave.
An all-you-can-eat breakfast will be served from 7 to 11 a.m.
The public is welcome to participate in trap shooting, a Chinese auction and 50/50 raffle. Lunch will also be available for purchase.
Proceeds are used for scholarships awarded each year to recipients who have chosen a major course of study in a field related to conservation.
This year's recipients were Lindsay Iler (Salem), Sarah Anderson (Hanoverton) and Kayla Coldsnow (Beloit).

DEERFIELD -The Deerfield Historical Society's first Monday dance is scheduled from 7 to 9:30 p.m. Aug. 6 at the Deerfield Town Hall, 1450 Route 14.
Food will be available for purchase. Admission is $3 per adult.
United Quilt Guild will meet

SALEM - United Quilt Guild plans to meet Aug. 7 at the First Presbyterian Church. UnFinished Objects begin at 9:30 a.m. followed by a baby quilt work session at 2 p.m. and the business meeting at 6:30 p.m. Sandy Lord will present a program titled "How to use big prints."

SALEM - Free lunches will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. this month at the Salvation Army, 1249 N. Ellsworth Ave. Meals will be served on Aug. 7, 9, 14, 16, 21 and 23, and the week of Aug. 27-31.
A produce distribution begins at 1 p.m. Aug. 31 on site.

Eric's Animal Show' on Aug. 8
SALEM - The Salem Public Library will present "Alligator Eric's Animal Show" at 11 a.m. Aug. 8 to concludes Summer Reading Program.
This program will take place in the gym at St. Paul School and is open to families with children ages 12 and under.
