COLUMBIANA - S. Jane Windram, 87, of 937 E. Park Ave., died at 7:10 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 1, 2012, at the Whispering Pines Village of Columbiana.
Jane was born Dec. 29, 1924, in Leetonia, a daughter of the late Harry L. and Helen V. (Fair) Fenstermaker and had lived in the area all her life.
Jane attended Penn Hall Junior College, Chambersburg, Pa. She had been employed as a caseworker for the Columbiana County Jobs and Family Services for 12 years and also had her own ceramics business where she fired and painted ceramic items.
Jane was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Leetonia, where had served on the church council, was a Sunday school teacher and had been a member of "The Cornerstones". She was a co-founder of the Leetonia Chapter of the Ohio Child Conservation League.
She is survived by a daughter, Joan K. Merrill of Greensboro, S.C.; a son, Glen A. (Vicki) Windram of Leetonia; a sister, Betty J. Lennig of Cincinnati; five grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
A brother, David W. Fenstermaker, preceded her in death.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 4, 2012, at St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Leetonia, with Pastor Kari Lankford officiating. Burial will follow in Oakdale Cemetery, Leetonia.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at the Woods-Rettig Funeral Home, Leetonia, and at the church one hour prior to the services on Saturday.
Memorials may be made to the St. Paul's Lutheran Church Brick Restoration Fund.
