- Emma Byers, Boston Street, Washingtonville, called for a deputy at 5 a.m. Thursday after her ex-boyfriend, Slade Brandle, showed up and let himself into the house with his old key. Byers met the deputy outside and told her they had been out at a bar earlier that night when Brandle dropped her off and was supposed to go home, which is in New Cumberland, W.Va. Byers said Brandle has visited before but this is the first time he appeared to want to stay since she filed domestic violence charges against him last year. Brandle was found sitting in the living room listening to the radio. Byers was transported by ambulance to the hospital, although she had not been assaulted or threatened.

- Susan Collins, Dutchtown School Road, Rogers, reported Wednesday she was in the process of moving out of a rental house trailer when the power went out at 4 a.m. She called the power company and they determined the electricity had been turned off at the box.

- Walter Raniolo, Mick Road, Wellsville, reported Thursday his wife received a call from a Jamaican number and the caller said he could lower her credit card bill with some personal information. Mrs. Raniolo provided her bank card and Social Security numbers, but when she asked a question the caller hung up. They became suspicious at this point and called their bank, where an official recommended they close their account. They were also going to contact the Social Security office.

- Laura Surmaceviz, Clarks Mill Road, Salineville, reported Wednesday receiving hang-up calls from someone she knows.

-Danielle Tindell, Bye Road, East Palestine, reported Wednesday receiving vulgar text messages from her husband's ex-wife. When asked what she should do, the deputy told her to block the number or get a new cell phone.

- Michelle Lewis, Trinity Church Road, Lisbon, reported Wednesday she was in the processing of erecting a fence that was two feet away from the property line, but her neighbor was screaming and threatening to take down the fence. Lewis said the neighbor also threatened her and her fiance.

- A deputy responded to the intersection of McCormick Run Road and state Route 518 near West Point at 2:35 p.m. Tuesday in regard to a combative woman who an ambulance crew was trying to treat. The woman, Jenna Severs of East Palestine, was found injured on the road but she could not recall what happened. Severs was transported to a local hospital.

- Robert Clewell called Tuesday afternoon in regard to a possible domestic dispute at Clewell's Campground at Guilford Lake. A deputy spoke to the couple, who said they had been arguing, but everything was fine. They agreed to turn down the volume of their discussion.

- Sheri Rodgers, Circle Drive, Minerva, reported items have starting coming up missing from her garage and shed since July 17.

- David Gromley, Railroad Street, Kensington, called for a deputy at 12:53 a.m. Wednesday in regard to a domestic dispute, but when authorities arrived no one answered the door, although the lights and TV were on.
