Pauline Armstrong Apple to be honored for birthday

Pauline Armstrong Apple of 42564 Middle Beaver Road, Elkton, will be honored on the occasion of her 90th birthday. An open house hosted by the family will be held from 2 to 5 p.m. Aug. 11 at the Elkton United Methodist Church on Fairmont Road, Elkton. She was born on Aug. 8, 1922, in Elkton, the oldest daughter of John and Jessie Andric Armstrong and grew up in Elkton. She is a member of the David Anderson High School Class of 1940 and married Ralph S. Apple on Nov. 9, 1940. He passed away in 2006. She has three daughters, Bonnie G. Apple of Elk Grove, Calif., Theresa (Jack) Becki, Lisbon, and Kimberly Schmidt of Norton; five grandchildren, Dayna (Jeff) Becki Hendricks of Salem, Jacqueline (Scot) Becki Loveland of Salineville, Major Ralph (Katie) Becki of Leavenworth, Kan., Morgan (Elizabeth) Moore of San Rafael, Calif., and Phillip (Norma) Moore of Sacramento, Calif; and four great-grandchildren, Mitch and Bryce Hendricks, Chloe Loveland and Mason Moore. Mrs. Apple is a member of the church, Fifth Tuesday Club, a former member of Antique Car Club, past 4-H advisor, and Sunday school teacher. The family requests that gifts be omitted.
