COLUMBUS - Dawn Iris West, 95, of Columbus, formerly of Alliance, died at 6:45 p.m. Tuesday at the Darby Glenn Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Hilliard.

Born Sept. 21, 1916, in Cheyenne Wyo., she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Esther (Lindgren) Lacy.

Mrs. West taught in the high school department at the People's Bible College in Colorado Springs. She was a member of Fairmount Emmanuel Church in Alliance and Calvary Holiness Church in Columbus.

She was preceded in death on June 26, 1997, by her husband, the Rev. Kenneth M. West, whom she married on June 7, 1943.

Survivors include a daughter, Naomi Dawn (Charles) Lee of Galloway; a son, James W.(Sandee) West of Twinsburg; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.

Services will be held at noon Friday at the Arbaugh-Pearce-Greenisen Funeral Home in Salem with Pastor Aaron Echols officiating.

Calling hours will be held from 10 a.m. until noon. Burial will be in Braceville Cemetery in Newton Falls.

Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Bolivian Missions or the donor's choice.
