Gilbert “Lee” Riddle

BELOIT - Gilbert "Lee" Riddle, 63, of Beloit, passed away on Friday, Aug. 17, 2012 at the Cleveland Clinic.

Lee was born in Alliance on Jan. 16, 1949, the son of Millard C. and Margaret Jean (Anderson) Riddle.

He was a graduate of Alliance High School and was a U.S. Army veteran. He also worked at American Steel as a Lab Technician. Lee enjoyed all kinds of outdoor sports. He was a Sebring-West Branch Hot Stove coach and had recently won the Westville Archery League Competition.

Survivors include his mother, Margaret of Florida; his wife, June (Benner) Riddle of Beloit; a son, Eric (Shelly) Riddle of Salem; a daughter, Christina (Chad) Miller of New Philadelphia; two grandchildren, Hunter and Makenna Miller; and a grandchild Riddle on the way. He is also survived by a brother, Alan Riddle of Florida; and a sister, Sandy Riddle-Wood of Sebring. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, David.

A funeral service will be held on Thursday, Aug. 23, at 12 p.m. at Gednetz-Ruzek Funeral Home in Sebring. Friends may call at the funeral home on Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m. and the half hour prior to the service on Thursday. Burial will take place at Ohio Western Reserve National Cemetery in Rittman.
