Reilly Project members are continuing efforts to raise money to rebuild the west wall and the ticket booth at Reilly Stadium. Shown above is skilled craftsman Don "Duke"?Lutz cutting a piece of a Reilly brick into paperweight size. The public can purchase historic Reilly bricks at the following locations through October: Giant Eagle, Salem Tire, Hibbett Sports, Ricky's, Salem High School Alumni office, and Dr. Rebecca Brown's office. There are three sizes: paperweight and doorstop, $10 each; and, full-size, $15 each. The historic brick and forms for pavers will also be available for purchase at the dance sponsored by the Salem Preservation Society's Reilly Project Committee members on Oct. 5 at the Salem Elks. Tree and benches have sold out for the Dedication Park area. There are three 24 by 24 granite pavers available at $1,000 each; 4 by 8 pavers available at $100 each and 8 by 8 pavers available at $150 each. The bricks and pavers have become popular as gifts.
