Earl and Ruth (Althouse) Harsh Jr. of Salem recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with a family gathering in Pittsburgh, Pa.
The former Ruth Althouse, daughter of Elmer (Nick) and Helen Althouse (Gamble) married Earl G. Harsh Jr., son of Earl G. and Esther (McCullough) Harsh Sr., on Aug. 3, 1962, at the Salem Friends Church.
Mr. Harsh retired from P.C.C. Airfoils and previously owned and operated Precision Machine Product Inc. in Winona. Mrs. Harsh has been a realtor for over 30 years and is currently an agent for Northwood Realty in Salem.
The couple have three daughters, Lori (Glen) Dunn of Salem; Lisa Bates of Winona; and Lyne (Rick) Mercer of Port St. Lucie, Fla. They also have seven grandchildren, Hannah and Eli Dunn, Samantha and Joey Bates, Chelsea and Chad Mercer and the late Ashley Bates.
