CARROLLTON - It was a long night for the Wildcats.
The Carrollton football team amassed 454 yards and seven touchdowns on the ground en route to a 55-0 win Friday night over visiting Edison.
The Warriors (2-0) led 7-0 after the first quarter, but the hosts outscored the visitors, 28-0, in the second stanza to take a 35-0 lead into the locker room at halftime.
The Warriors tacked on two more touchdowns in the third and one more in the fourth to account for the scoring.
Jake Peterson tallied 164 yards and two touchdowns to lead the way for the Warriors, and Tyler Dodd delivered 109 yards and three touchdowns on 10 carries.
Carrollton also threw for 71 yards and a touchdown in the game.
Edison (0-2) rushed for 57 yards and threw for 91.
The Wildcats will look to pick up their first win of the season Friday night when Edison plays hosts to winless Weir.
