Invitations have been issued for the Sept. 15 morning wedding of Shari Lynn Smith and William Joseph Merdich at the Leetonia First United Methodist Church.
The bride-elect is the daughter of the late William and Elizabeth Smith of Washingtonville. She is employed as a corporate benefits specialist with Employee Benefit Services of America in Boardman. She graduated from Ohio Wesleyan University with a degree in journalism and sociology/anthropology.
The prospective bridegroom is the son of Charles and Jeanette Merdich of Leetonia. He is a graduate of The Ohio State University-ATI campus in Wooster with an associate's degree in landscape and is currently pursuing a bachelor's degree in parks and recreation/urban forestry from The Ohio State University in Columbus.
