Paula Howard Devine of Liberty Township and James H. Paine of East Palestine are announcing their engagement and forthcoming marriage.
The bride is the daughter of Paul and Patricia Howard of Warren. The bridegroom is the son of Harold and Kara Paine of East Palestine.
Ms. Devine is a graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree combined science. She is currently a pharmaceutical district sales manager for Abbott Laboratories in Cleveland.

Mr. Paine is also a graduate of Youngstown State University with a bachelor's degree in marketing. He currently is a product manager at 4Wheel Drive Hardware in Columbiana.
The wedding is planned for Oct. 19 at Trinity United Methodist Church in Youngstown, followed by a reception that evening at the Fellows Riverside Gardens in Mill Creek Park. Both ceremony and reception are by invitation.
