COLUMBIANA - Evert J. Morse, 85, of 1297 Columbiana-Lisbon Road, died at 8:50 p.m. Wednesday at the Parkside Health Care Center.
Born Oct. 27, 1926, in Alliance, he was the son of Joe and Velma (Crist) Morse.
Mr. Morse had been employed as a machinist at NRM in Leetonia and Columbiana for 26 years. During World War II he served in the Navy. He was a member of the Lake Mount Church of Christ.
Survivors include his wife, the former Lois Burkey, whom he married June 23, 1951; two daughters, Janis (Kim) Guy of North Lima and Terry Breakfield of Columbiana; a son, Paul (Karen) Morse of Rochester, N.Y.; four sisters, Wilma Nesea of Alliance, Evelyn Miller of Louisville, Edith Hunt of Florida and Ester Williamson of Alliance; two brothers, Erlis Morse of Fairborn and Elden Morse of Arizona; six grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by a son, David Morse.
Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home with Mr. Clarence Mansfield, minister officiating. Burial will be in the Columbiana Cemetery.
Friends may call one hour prior to the services on Sunday at the funeral home.
