EAST PALESTINE - William T. Peffer, 76, of South Washington Street, died early Sunday morning at his residence, following a lengthy illness.
Bill was born July 18, 1936, a son of the late Robert and Lucille Gallaher Peffer and was a lifelong resident of the East Palestine and Negley areas.
He had been employed with area mining companies in the maintenance repair shop, until his retirement several years ago.
He was survived by his wife, the former Janice Witman, whom he married March 24, 1962; a son, William L. Peffer of Nixa, Mo.; a daughter, Shelly Lynn Peffer of Brooklyn, N.Y.; and two grandchildren.
