East Liverpool falls in 3 at home

EAST LIVERPOOL - The Bulldogs topped the Potters.

The Poland volleyball team earned a 27-25, 25-19, 25-23, victory over East Liverpool Wednesday night at Potter Fieldhouse.

Individually for the Potters (6-5), Morgan Campbell collected six points, 55 attacks and 21 kills, and Jordyn Adkins added 80 sets and 27 assists.

"There were slow-paced games like last night," East Liverpool head coach Bob Shansky said. "We were down in every game. We came back, but we just couldn't finish."

Poland won the JV match, 15-25, 5-13, 26-24.

For East Liverpool (1-8), Sierra Voorhees scored 16 points to go along with five assists, Elise Smith tallied four blocks and two kills and Sierra Nichols finished with four kills.

East Liverpool plays today at home against Buckeye Local. The freshman match is scheduled for 4:30 p.m. with the JV match and the varsity match to follow.
