David Flood, standing, and LaVonna Flood, seated in forefront, have her mother's doll appraised by Mitzy Hauenstein of East Palestine during a doll appraisal at the Log House Museum in Columbiana Aug. 18. Over 40 people had two or more dolls appraised and identified in the three and a half hour appraisal service. A Shirley Temple doll in her original dress, perfect condition and complete with trunk, was the highest appraised doll at $1,500. Because this year's event was so successful, the historical society plans to have another one in 2013. (Submitted photo)
