LISBON - In Columbiana County Municipal Court Friday Dennis A. Higinbotham, 36, North Market Street, Lisbon, was bound over to the Columbiana County Common Pleas Court on a domestic violence charge. Higinbotham allegedly attempted to hit April Franz in the face with her purse and struck her in the left arm with the purse leaving a welt on Sept. 13. He has a previous domestic violence conviction.
Angelo Anthony Mohn, 26, Fox Avenue, Minerva, was fined $1,025, sentenced to 10 days in jail, required 50 hours community service and had his license suspended for 12 months for OVI second offense and disorderly conduct for yelling and cursing along a state highway then banging his head after he was placed in the police cruiser. A seat belt violation was dismissed.
Tiffany B. Michalak, 31, Meadowbrooke Avenue, Boardman, was fined $925, had her license suspended for 24 months, required 40 hours community service and sentenced to 10 days in jail for OVI second offense and failure to yield.
Billie D. Lockhart, 35, last known address St. Clair Avenue, East Liverpool, was fined $200 and required 30 hours community service for unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, which was reduced from a felony to a first degree misdemeanor. Court documents state the vehicle's owner, Robert S. McCullough, told deputies Lockhart had his vehicle for more than three weeks and was not answering her phone.
Joseph M. Morris, 39, Lincoln Avenue, East Palestine, was fined $180 for driving under a 12-point suspension and a seat belt violation.
A Sept. 25 pretrial was set for Michael P. Schneller, 28, Saltwell Road, Lisbon, charged with assault and disorderly conduct. According to court documents, on Friday he allegedly struck Mary Shaulis in the nose, pushed her and cut her wrist. Then he aggressively threw off his glasses and came toward a Lisbon police sergeant.
A Sept. 27 pretrial was set for Soung Sarge, 33, Township Road 62, Hammondsville, charged with assault for allegedly striking Jakob Bell in the face and head repeatedly on July 17, 2011 causing him to seek medical treatment due to his injuries.
An Oct. 9 pretrial was set for both Kimberly Sue Altomare, 46, and Raean Bagley, 66, Winona Road, Winona, charged with violating an order by the Columbiana County General Health District. According to court documents, Altomare was sent a notice on Aug. 21, 2009 that she correct a health code violation involving connecting her home to the sewage system, which still has not been done.
An Oct. 11 pretrial was set for Angel D. Hartley, 39, Seventh Avenue, East Liverpool, cited with passing bad checks for a $76 check allegedly written by Hartley to Morgan's drug store on a closed account on July 30.
An Oct. 25 pretrial was set for Michael E. Baun, 27, Rockhill Avenue, Alliance, charged with carrying a concealed weapon and improper passing. Court documents allege Baun had a large "survival" knife in a sheat incide the center console in plain view when he opened it to retrieve his paperwork on Wednesday.
An Oct. 29 pretrial was set for Anthony R. Kelly, 24, Main Street, Leetonia, cited with driving under suspension and drug paraphernalia.
A Nov. 5 pretrial was set for Aaron J. West, 20, Lisbon Street, East Liverpool, cited with possession of marijuana.
A Nov. 8 pretrial was set for Gary H. Lawn, 63, Mechanicstown Road, Hanoverton, charged with OVI first offense and speeding.
