Action taken recently by the Columbiana County Port Authority will allow Apex Environmental to refinance $19 million in government bonds first obtained in 2004 in regard to a Jefferson County landfill. Recent stories incorrectly stated the bond refinancing was tied to acquisition of another landfill, which was based partially on misleading information included in a legal advertisement that appeared to refer to another landfill site.
