Canton South 35, West Branch 23
BELOIT - West Branch closed the gap on Canton South to six points early in the fourth quarter but could not hold defensively as the Wildcats prevailed 35-23 handing the Warriors their first league loss.
For West Branch Troy James was 4-for-8 passing for 60 yards including a 26-yard touchdown to Kip DeShields. James added 54 yards on 11 carries.
Brenden Wells had 99 yards on 18 carries. Bo Utley had 14 tackles and a sack.
For South, Josh Lyon was 23-of-27 for 262 yards and three touchdowns.
West Branch (3-4, 3-1 NBC) plays Friday at Louisville.
South Range 55, Mineral Ridge 20
CANFIELD - South Range's Robbie Stoffer went 8-of-11 for 169 yards and threw four touchdowns to help the Raiders to a 55-20 win over Mineral Ridge. Stoffer also had 67 yards on 10 carries and a touchdown run.
Robbie Seman had four catches for 97 yards and two touchdowns. David McCabe had 89 yards rushing on seven carries.
South Range (5-2, 4-0 ITCL Tier 1) plays Friday at Springfield.
Springfield 27, Lisbon 6
LISBON - Springfield's Hunter Snyder had 146 yards on 20 carries and three touchdown runs to lead the Tigers to a 27-6 win over Lisbon Friday.
Snyder also went 8-of-11 for 100 yards passing.
For Lisbon, Zak Leko had 106 yards on 19 carries including a touchdown.
Springfield (3-4, 2-2 ITCL Tier 1) hosts South Range Friday.
Lisbon (2-5, 1-3 ITCL Tier 1) travels to Mineral Ridge.
Western Reserve 56, Sebring 14
SEBRING - Western Reserve scored 34 first-quarter points and dropped Sebring 56-14 Friday. Nick Allison went 11-of-18 for 218 yards and three touchdowns. Alex Dahler had 89 yards on five carries including a 62-yard touchdown run. Tim Cooper, Dan Rosati and Parker Warren all had receiving touchdowns, and Dan Zilke returned a fumble 34 yards for a score. Evan Nesbitt had 66 yards on four carries with a score.
For Sebring, Josh Hurford had a 13-yard touchdown run. Zack Wagner finished with 112 yards on 10 carries. Dylan Mick also had 64 yards on 11 carries and a touchdown.
Western Reserve (5-2, 4-0 ITCL Tier 2) hosts a showdown with rival Southern Friday.
Sebring (0-7, 0-4 ITCL Tier 2) hosts Leetonia.
