SALEM - Lorna Irene Faber, 85, of Salem, Ohio, died at 5:25 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 10, 2012, following a lengthy illness.
She was born Dec. 12, 1926, in Salem, Ohio, the daughter of the late Raymond and Lorna M. (Dietz) Helmick.
Mrs. Faber was a 1945 graduate of Salem High School and was a member of the First Christian Church, Church Women's Fellowship and Columbiana County Home Extension.
Her husband, H. Robert Faber Sr., whom she married July 21, 1951, preceded her in death on Dec. 14, 1968. Her brothers, Richard and William Helmick, also preceded her in death.
Survivors include three sons, Howard Robert (Linda) Faber Jr. of Salem, John D. (Ester) Faber of Vienna, VA, and Steven M. Faber of Salem; a daughter, Lorna Kathleen Faber of Salem; and one grandchild.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 16, 2012, at the First Christian Church with the Rev. Leonard Moore officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home and at the church on Tuesday one hour prior to the services. Burial will be at Hope Cemetery.
