United 42, East Palestine 20
HANOVERTON - United topped East Palestine 42-20 Friday. Leading the Golden Eagles was Garrett Beech with 130 yards on 17 carries including two touchdown runs. Beech was also 7-of-12 passing for 125 yards with a 14-yard touchdown pass to Tyler Lewis. Mike Martin had 81 yards on 19 carries and a touchdown. Zach Maze added a touchdown run.
For East Palestine, Luke Cope was 11-of-22 for 144 yards and two touchdowns.
United (5-3, 3-2 ITCL Tier 1) hosts Jackson-Milton Friday.
East Palestine (1-7, 1-4 ITCL Tier 1) hosts Crestview.
West Branch 21, Louisville 17
LOUISVILLE - West Branch stayed in the Northeastern Buckeye Conference hunt with a 21-17 win over Louisville Friday. Next week the Warriors will take on unbeaten Marlington with a chance to tie the Dukes atop the league standings.
West Branch scored on a Troy James run with 4:15 left in the final frame to take the lead for good from the Leopards.
For West Branch, Brenden Wells had 165 yards on 35 carries and a touchdown. James added 55 yards on 14 carries, and Kip DeShields had three receptions for 72 yards including a 43-yard touchdown catch on a halfback pass from Tyler Pidgeon in the first quarter.
West Branch (4-4, 4-1 NBC) travels to Marlington next week before hosting Salem in their final regular season contest.
Leetonia 45, Sebring 12
SEBRING - Leetonia's Zack Van Giesen had 125 yards on 13 carries and two rushing touchdowns to help the Bears to a 45-12 win in Sebring Friday. Van Giesen also recovered a fumble in the end zone for another score.
Brandon Dattilio caught a 43-yard touchdown pass from Trent Ferry. Bryce Turney, Brady Shepard and Tom Cruz also all added rushing scores.
For Sebring, Josh Hurford had a 10-yard touchdown run, and Jerry Billingsley had an 85-yard kickoff return for a score. Billingsley also caught three passes for 38 yards.
Leetonia (5-3, 3-2 ITCL Tier 2) hosts Southern Friday.
Sebring (0-8, 0-5 ITCL Tier 2) travels to Lowellville.
Crestview 63, Jackson-Milton 7
NEW WATERFORD - Crestview continued its offensive onslaught against Jackson-Milton in a 63-7 rout.
The Rebels were led by Nick Blower with 150 yards on just five carries and two touchdowns. Colin Gilbert went 4-of-5 passing with 76 yards and two touchdown passes. Gilbert also scored on a 50-yard scamper.
Matt Hardenbrook, Derek Kozlowski and Spencer Desalvo all had touchdown runs for the Rbeles. Kris Simpson had a 50-yard punt return for a score and also a 10-yard touchdown catch.
Crestview (8-0, 6-0 ITCL Tier 1) will look to remain perfect next week as the team travels to East Palestine.
South Range 27, Springfield 12
NEW MIDDLETOWN - South Range outlasted Springfield 27-12 to remain unbeaten in Tier 1 of the ITCL.
Leading Range was Ross Stoffer with 65 yards on seven carries and two touchdown runs. Jake Arsuffi had 65 yards on 10 carries with a core, and David McCabe had 42 yards on five carries with a score.
For Springfield, Hunter Snyder had 102 yards on 22 carries and a touchdown.
South Range (6-2, 5-0 ITCL Tier 1) travels to Lisbon Friday.
