MORENO VALLEY, Calif. - Arthur James Dicken Sr., 85, of Moreno Valley, Calif, died on Aug. 27 at his home.
He was born on Sept. 17, 1926, in New Waterford, the son of John and Hazel (Bishop) Dicken.
Mr. Dicken served in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS Fanning in the South Seas during World War II. He drove for P.I.E for 35 years, retiring in 1990.
Survivors include his wife, June (Davis) Dicken, whom he married Aug. 27, 1955; a daughter, Terri (Marc) Hunter of Salem; a son, A.J. (Amber) Dicken Jr. of Nevada; two sisters, Georgianne (Frank) Lichtenwalner of East Palestine and Jesse (Robert) Neeson of Fort Myers, Fla.; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandsons.
He was preceded in death by a son, Gilbert J. Dicken, in 1950.
Services were held Sept. 1 at the Moreno Christian Church in Moreno Valley, Calif. Burial is in Riverside National Cemetery in Riverside, Calif.
