- Sgt. Detective Jeff Haugh on the way to the sheriff's department Thursday morning reported finding five young black puppies at the pull-off on state Route 45 at old state Route 45 just south of West Point. The dog warden's office collected the pups, three of which appeared to be related to black labs and two which appeared to be German shepherd mix. Anyone knowing who may have dumped the puppies should contact the sheriff's office at 424-7255.

- Billie Cochran, Lisa Lane, Lisbon, reported at 10:31 a.m. Monday, she and her boyfriend were arguing about who owned a SUV. The vehicle was titled to Cochran's father. The boyfriend had paid for it.

- John Peuterbaugh, state Route 9, Hanoverton, reported at 6:22 p.m. Wednesday a reported sexual offender was in the area and is not supposed to be near his daughter. Deputies attempted to call Peuterbaugh back, but were unable to each him.

- Crystal Boso, Lisbon Canfield Road, Leetonia, reported a domestic on Gavers Road, Hanover Township at 10:53 a.m. Wednesday. Candee Campbell, 39, reported her ex-boyfriend grabbed her by the throat and threw her to the floor, bit her lip and grabbed her arms leaving marks. Beau Mcguire, 35, reported Campbell was hitting him about the head while he was driving down the road. When they got there he claimed she pulled out a tire iron and started hitting him with it. Both wanted the other charged with assault, so charges were filed on both.
