- Firefighters were called at 5:54 p.m. Tuesday to the 500 block of East Fourth Street for a fire alarm sounding and no one answering the door of the apartment. Firefighers gained entry and found no one home and a smoke detector sounding due to a dead battery. The faulty smoke detector was placed out of service and the neighbor was told what happened.
