Western Reserve 15, Columbiana 0
COLUMBIANA - Western Reserve rattled off it's eighth-straight win heading into the playoffs 15-0 over Columbiana Friday. The Blue Devils will likely start the postseason on the road Friday night.
Leading Reserve was Tim Cooper with 128 yards on 32 carries and a touchdown. Parker Warren caught a 47-yard touchdown pass from Nick Allison, and Warren also added a field goal to cap the scoring.
For Columbiana, Britton Steiginga had 81 yards on 17 carries. Brandon Hacker added 62 yards on 17 carries. Columbiana lost three fumbles in the contest, while Reserve did not commit a turnover.
Western Reserve, who already wrapped up a Tier 2 Inter-Tri County League title last week, finishes the regular season 8-2 and will await to see who they play in week 11.
Columbiana finishes the season at 6-4 after losing their last three games.
Wellsville 41, Leetonia 28
LEETONIA - Wellsville used a 17-point fourth quarter to rally past Leetonia 41-28 Friday night.
The Bears took a 28-24 lead on a 42-yard run by Trent Ferry in the third quarter, but the fourth was all Tigers culminating in a safety, a touchdown on the ensuing kickoff and a 1-yard-run by Jordan Sloan.
For Wellsville, Marcus Moxley had 130 yards on 20 carries. Zack Mellot had a touchdown run and the 66-yard kickoff return for a score.
For Leetonia, Brandon Dattilio had 100 yards on eight carries. Trent Ferry had 80 yards on 13 carries and three touchdown runs.
Wellsville closes the season 4-6. Leetonia finishes 6-4.
East Palestine 20, Lisbon 12
LISBON - East Palestine's Luke Cope was 18-of-36 for 311 yards including a touchdown pass and run to help the Bulldogs to a 20-12 win in their finale over Lisbon.
Derek Smith added 76 yards on 17 carries and a score.
For Lisbon, Brandon Barnes had 115 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown. Zak Leko added a 3-yard touchdown run.
East Palestine finishes the year 2-8. Lisbon ends with a 2-8 mark as well.
Mineral Ridge 54, United 53
MINERAL RIDGE - In a contest that featured 107 total points and more than 1,100 total yards, an extra point gave Mineral Ridge a 54-53 overtime win over United Friday.
Devine Redding had 266 yards on 14 carries and five rushing touchdowns.
United's Garrett Beech had 307 yards on 28 carries and five rushing touchdowns of his own. Beech was also 10-of-23 passing for 144 yards with two more scores.
Mike Martin added 137 yards on 25 carries.
Mineral Ridge closes the year 6-4. United also finishes with a 6-4 mark.
