SALEM - Frederick Martin Werner, 61, of Salem, died at 6:25 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6, 2012, at the Salem Community Hospital.
He was born July 12, 1951, in Salem, Ohio, the son of the late William F. and Anna C. (Dorling) Werner.
Fred had been employed at the former Mullins & Deming Pump Company and was a member of the Emmanuel Lutheran Church of Salem. He was a 1969 graduate of Salem High School and attended Ohio State University. Fred was a member of the Salem Saxon Lodge Branch #19 and an avid OSU football fan.
Survivors include his sister, Shirley (Anthony "Tony") Kataro of Davenport, Fla.; two brothers, William R. Werner of Mansfield and Arthur L. Werner of Salem; several nieces and nephews and a special friend, Marilyn McNutt of Salem.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Nov. 9, 2012, at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church with Pastor Alan Smearsoll officiating. Interment will be at Grandview Cemetery.
