A family dinner party is planned to celebrate the 90th birthday of Theresa Ciricosta Fithian on Dec. 15. A resident of The Courtyard at Lexington in Salem, Mrs. Fithian is a lifelong resident of Salem, having graduated from Salem High School in 1940.
Mrs. Fithian married John H. Fithian in 1947 and together they operated Fithian Typewriter Sales and Service. She has five children: Dr. Rosemary (Jay) Fithian-Guruswamy of Radford, Va.; Mr. John (Cathie) Fithian of Navarre, Ohio; Mrs. Maryellen (Robert) Clutter of Salem; Ms. Molly Wolski, of Holland, Mich.; and Mr. Richard Fithian of Salem. She also has 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.
Theresa is a parishioner of St. Paul's Catholic Church in Salem, where she was a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. She has given many years of volunteer service to the church. She is a member and past president of L.C.B.A., Catholic Daughters of America, Church Women United and The Salem Book Club.
