WARREN- Jeanne Ann Dusi, 84, of Columbiana passed away on Sunday Dec. 9, 2012, surrounded by her family. She was born July 27, 1928, in Columbus Grove, Ohio, a daughter of the late Homer and Della (Johnson) Hansen.
She graduated from Austintown Fitch High School 1946. Jeanne played an integral role in the success of Go-Tag-Along Trailer Manufacturing, formerly of Washingtonville, which was founded by her husband. She was also the co-founder of Trailerville Campground in Unity, Ohio.
Jeanne and her family were water-skiers and traveled to many venues to compete. They were members of the Sandy Lake Water Ski Club in Pennsylvania. She also belonged to Arthur Murray Dance Studio in Youngstown and won awards in ballroom dance competitions throughout the nation.
She was an avid reader and volunteered for the Columbiana Public Library. She was also an accomplished quilter and made beautiful heirlooms for her family.
She is survived by her children Dale (Liz) Bowman of Jacksonville, Fla.; David (Nancy) Bowman of Pendleton, Ore.; Dean (Cathy) Bowman of Columbiana and Jo Carlisle of Akron; seven grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.
Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by a sister, Clara King; husband, Joseph S. Dusi; granddaughter, Lacey Bowman; and faithful companion, Freckles.
Cremation has taken place. A memorial service will be held at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Dec. 11, 2012, at the Western Reserve United Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road (U.S. Route 62), Canfield, with Pastor Russ Adams officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Hospice of the Valley/Hospice House in Jeanne's honor.
