- Lacey D. Thrasher, 29, state Route 534, Damascus, was westbound on state Route 14 at 3 p.m. Friday and stopped for traffic and was hit from behind by Darin R. Stratton, 30, Arch Street, Salem. Stratton was cited for assured clear distance ahead.

- Someone reported at 12:15 p.m. Saturday dogs were barking on Sharp Avenue. Police went to the area and heard no dogs barking.

- A South Lincoln Avenue woman reported at 1:20 p.m. Saturday someone forcibly entered her home and took items while she was away.

- Police went to a North Lincoln Avenue home at 2:13 p.m. Saturday for a verbal argument between neighbors in regards to a public alley being blocked while people are entering and exiting vehicles and that at times some of the vehicles are unoccupied and blocking the alley for an extended period of time. Police told the group that if a violation is observed a parking ticket would be issued.

- Police went to a Walnut Street home at 2:51 p.m. Saturday after smelling smoke in the area. It was discovered that some men had placed an old drop cloth on a small fire behind the house and it was smoldering. Police told the men they could only burn wood and the cloth was removed.

- Someone reported at 1 a.m. Saturday a man walking in the 700 block of South Lundy Avenue was intoxicated. Police found the man and made sure he got home safely.

- Police issued parking tickets to four vehicles on the 600 block of East Euclid Street at 2:19 a.m. Saturday. The vehicles were parked in a no parking zone.

- Police went to the Foxes Den bar at 2:41 a.m. Saturday for a report of a fight in progress. Police spoke to a woman who said that she and the man, who had already left, had gotten into a verbal argument which turned physical and that he pushed and shoved her, hurting her shoulder. She refused medical attention.

- Lucas J. Sutton, Randall Road, Hanoverton, was arrested for OVI and cited for two headlights required following a traffic stop on East Pershing Street at 3:21 a.m. Saturday.

- Police went to a West Pershing Street home at 4:54 a.m. Saturday and was told by a male that he was involved in a domestic dispute with his live-in girlfriend. The woman told police that Behon came home from work and initiated the dispute and threw items outside, along with her cell phone. No charges were filed and the woman was taken to a friend's house at her request.

- A Jennings Avenue woman reported at 4 p.m. Friday her son didn't come home from school. It was found that the boy had walked to a friend's house and was fine.

- A Springfield Road man reported at 4:17 p.m. Friday a co-worker's husband at Salem hospital was harassing and making threats.

- An East Third Street woman reported at 5 p.m. Friday someone damaged a pane of glass in the front door of her home.

- An East State Street business employee reported at 6:23 p.m. Friday a man was in the store who was not supposed to be there and had concealed some items while shopping. Police recovered $4 worth of items from the man and advised him that he was not welcome at the store, at which point the man began having medical/psychological issues and was taken to the hospital emergency room.

- At 9:42 p.m. Friday a Franklin Avenue man reported a sick or injured animal was in the area. Police found the animal, and a humane agent was contacted and had it removed.

- A West State Street woman reported at 5:56 p.m. Friday her friend's uncle damaged her vehicle while pulling out of another driveway on Ohio Avenue.
