Mr. and Mrs. Harry N. Gorby Sr. of 908 Liberty St., Salem, will celebrate their 61st wedding anniversary on New Year's Eve.
The former Dorothy Jane Vaughn and Mr. Gorby were married on Dec. 31, 1951, by the Rev. Shindle Decker.
The Gorbys are retired. He was self-employed and she is a homemaker.

The couple's children are Jeffrey, Rebecca, Nathan, Thad, Chuck, Michael, Sarah and Janie. A son Harry Jr. is deceased. They also have 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren and a great-great-grandchild.
