Leetonia 89, United 54

LEETONIA - Leetonia had it going from inside and outside Friday.

Ian Sevenich and Ian Stecker controlled the inside and the Bears hit 11 three-pointers to beat United, 89-54.

Trent Ferry led all scorers with 26 points, while Sevenich collected 15 points, three assists and one block and Stecker had 11 points, nine rebounds, two blocks, two assists and two steals.

Luke Janci also had three three-pointers for 15 points as the Bears improved to 3-5 on the season.

United got 15 points from Brandon Miller and 14 from Caleb Conser.

United won the reserve game, 60-45. Devin Minerd led the Eagles with 14 points. Drew Turney had 12 for the Bears.

Leetonia will host Crestview at 6 p.m. today, while United will host Heartland Christian next Friday.

BELOIT - West Branch handled visiting Western Reserve Friday 52-42. Leading the Warriors was Kip DeShields with 12 points. Jacob Griffith added 11 points and eight rebounds. Dustin Greenawalt added 11 points, while Beau Taylor added nine.

For Western Reserve, Dalton Korda had a team-high 14 points. Payton Snyder added nine. Tim Cooper pulled down seven rebounds.

West Branch also won the reserve contest.

West Branch (2-6) will host Minerva Friday.

Western Reserve (2-6, 1-4 ITCL Tier 2) hosts South Range the same night.

Brookfield 74, South Range 58

GREENFORD - Jeremy Quinlan scored 35 points in leading Brookfield past South Range 74-58 Friday.

The Warriors scored 20 points in each of the first two quarter to take a 40-29 halftime lead. They also outscored the Raiders in each of the final two quarters to pull away.

Ryan Mosora added 14 point and Derrick Dickson 11.

For South Range, Mason Miller had 17 points and Garrett Anderson contributed 11 points and seven rebounds. Robby Seman added nine points and Tyler Beverly eight.

The Raiders dropped to 3-5 and will play at Western Reserve next Friday.

South Range won the reserve game 41-32 as Cole Berry scored 11 points.

NEW WATERFORD - Crestview topped visiting Heartland Christian in a non-conference slate Friday 65-46.

Leading the Rebels was Robert Logan with 22 points and 13 rebounds. Collin Gilbert added 11 points, and Evan Nentwick tallied eight points and six steals.

For Heartland, Glenn Hoffman had 18 points. Jared Robinson added 10.

The Rebels also won the reserve contest 50-39. Eric Lloyd had 21 points.

Crestview (4-4, 2-3 ITCL Tier 1) plays tonight at Leetonia.

Heartland Christian plays Friday at United.

YOUNGSTOWN - Youngstown Christian topped Lisbon 75-53 Friday.

Leading the Blue Devils was Austin Rutecki and Matt Spencer with 11 points and six rebounds each.

Youngstown Christian also won the jayvee game 62-40.

Mike Evans had 16 for Lisbon.

Lisbon (4-4, 3-2 ITCL Tier 1) hosts Canton Heritage Christian Saturday, Jan. 5.

NEW WATERFORD - Crestview got out to a 22-0 lead after one quarter and cruised to a 69-20 win over Heartland Christian Friday.

Leading the Lady Rebels was Ashley Harrison with 26 points. seven steals and five assists.

Morgan Newbauer added 16 points, and Annie Hardenbrook added eight points and seven rebounds.

For Heartland, Rosalynn Morris had seven points.

Crestview (9-3, 4-1 ITCL Tier 1) plays Saturday, Jan. 5 at Newton Falls.

SALEM - The Salem freshman basketball team dropped Marlington Thursday 44-32.

Leading the Quakers was Trey Toothman with 13 points. D.J. Pullie added 12.
