Junior Mothers Club to meet Wednesday

SALEM - The Salem Junior Mothers Club meeting begins at 7:30 p.m. Jan. 2 at the Ripley residence.

Wednesday Community Meals to resume

COLUMBIANA - Midway Mennonite Church at 13376 Columbiana-Canfield Road will resume its Wednesday Evening Community Meals. Meals will be served the first and third Wednesday of every month beginning at 6 p.m. Jan. 2. Monetary donations for the meal are accepted. Country music jams set Jan. 3, 10

COLUMBIANA - The public is invited to a country music jam from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Jan. 3 and 17 at St. Mary's Alzheimer's Center.

Fish fry planned at Columbiana Legion

COLUMBIANA - An all-you-can-eat fish fry will be served from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at American Legion Post 290. Cost is $10 for adults and $4 for children.

Salem United Commercial Travelers to meet

SALEM - Members of Salem United Commercial Travelers, Council #590, plan to meet for dinner at 6:30 p.m. Jan. 9 at Perkins restaurant. The business session follows.

Pizza lunch set for Columbiana Seniors

COLUMBIANA - Columbiana Senior Citizens plan to meet at 10 a.m. Jan. 8 in the Upper Room. A pizza luncheon will be served. Members are reminded to bring a sack lunch to the meeting at 10 a.m. Jan. 22 at the same place.

Help Hotline Crisis Center offers classes

YOUNGSTOWN - The Help Hotline Crisis Center is offering Building Recovery of Individual Dreams and Goals through Education and Support classes at two locations. These free, 10-week mental health education courses are offered to those suffering with depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, OCD, drug and alcohol dependence or other mental health diagnosis.

Classes will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Jan. 28 at the Help Hotline Community Center, and Jan. 29 at Trumbull Memorial Hospital. For more information call 330-747-5111 Ext. 209.

Combustible Dust training class offered

YOUNGSTOWN - On Jan. 30, the Ohio BWC, Youngstown Service Office will offer a new training class titled: What you should know about Combustible Dust. It is recommended that maintenance supervisors, design engineers, industrial hygienists, safety management personnel, plant engineers, and others responsible for in-plant occupational safety and health should attend this course. This is an all-day class that is offered at no additional cost for all Ohio employers that have an active Ohio BWC policy. Blood drive set at Leetonia Library

LEETONIA- The Red Cross will hold a blood drive from 12:30 to 5:30 p.m. Thursday at the Leetonia Community Public Library. The Salem Visiting Nurses will also be available for blood pressure screenings from 1 to 3 p.m.
