WARREN - Jacob Graves put together two impressive games at Crest Lanes in Warren to pace East Liverpool to a dominating 1,903 to 1,185 victory Wednesday against Warren JFK.
Graves had games of 189 and 198 as the Potters bowled their way to the second win of the season in five contests.
Also for the locals, Parker Bowers added a 311 series with games of 157 and 154, Jimmy Beaver finished at 301 with games of 153 and 148, and Andrew Arcuragi added a high game of 148.
"It's good to see Jacob Graves' hot streak continue," said Potters coach Erik Adkins. "He had two more games close to the 200 mark and had only been bowling for (more than a year), so that's nice to see."
On the girls' side, the Potters earned the first win of the season 1,644 to 1,440.
Becky Brewer came close to the 200 mark with 191 game and finished with a 338 series to pace the locals. Nicole Linkous finished at 296 following 157-139 games and Leighanna Frantz added games of 132-130 for a 262 series.
"It's nice to see Becky Brewer step up as a leader and lead us to the first win," Adkins said of the 1-4 Potters. "The last couple (games) we can up a little short, but this was a nice substantial win."
Up next for East Liverpool is Bloomfield on Monday at Champion Lanes.
