JEFFERSON - Shirley Jean Barrett, 72, of Jefferson, died at 5:06 p.m., Thursday at the University Hospital of Cleveland.
Born May 24, 1940, in St. Mary's, W. Va., she was the daughter of the late Earl C. and Nancy Elizabeth (Schultz) Hooper.
She was a member of the Church of Christ.
Survivors include her sons, John Barrett of Reynoldsburg and Mark Barrett of Wanatah, Ind.; a sister, Nancy (Richard) Broomall of Columbia, S. C.; a brother, E. Kenneth (Debbie) Hooper of Huntsburg; four grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, James Barrett.
Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday at the Eells-Leggett-Stauffer Funeral Home (www.eells-leggett-stauffer.com) in Lisbon with the Rev. Richard Broomall officiating. Burial will follow in the Lisbon Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11 a.m. until the time of services Tuesday at the funeral home.
