LISBON - Although the criminal case for vehicular homicide charges against Deborah K. Eells is still pending, the husband of Amanda Bibbee has filed a civil lawsuit in Columbiana County Common Pleas Court.

Jerry L. Bibbee, executor of the estate of Amanda R. Bibbee, is seeking in excess of $25,000 for alleged wrongful death of his wife following a traffic accident on April 12, 2012.

Among those named in the lawsuit are Jerry Bibbee, Amanda Bibbee's two children, Kylee Beaver and Brice Bibbee, her parents and family members.

The two children were passengers in the vehicle at the time of the accident. Brice Bibbee suffered injuries which required medical attention, the lawsuit says.

Amanda Bibbee was 28 at the time of the head-on crash on state Route 7 north of Rogers. According to reports by the highway patrol, Bibbee's minivan collided with an SUV driven by Eells. Bibbee was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.

Eells, 54, Dyke Road, Rogers, faces vehicular homicide charges in Columbiana County Municipal Court. The case is currently set for a jury trial on April 17.
