SALEM - Kenneth "Kenny" L. Harris Sr., 67, of Salem, Ohio, died at 9:15 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at his home.
He was born Feb. 7, 1945, in Salem, the son of the late George and Lila (Ritter) Harris.
Mr. Harris was a 1963 graduate of United High School and retired in 2000 after 34 years from Eljer's where he had been an enameler. He had also worked at Lowry Supply for 10 years and attended the Bethel United Church of Christ.
Ken enjoyed hunting, reading history books and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
His wife, Kay (Finch) Harris, whom he married Nov. 9, 1963, survives him along with three sons, Kenneth Lee (Linda) Harris Jr. of Beloit, Michael Allen (Rebecca) Harris of Beloit and Timothy James (Christa) Harris of Salem; a sister, Rosellen (Bob) John of Salem; a brother, John Harris of North Georgetown; and four grandchildren, Julia, Allison, Nathan and Ryan Harris.
A brother, Glen Harris, also preceded him in death.
Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2013, at the Stark Memorial Funeral Home with the Rev. Haan Phelps officiating.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at the funeral home. Burial will be at Hope Cemetery.
